Q. How do I decide where to install my new pond
A. Where it can be enjoyed from windows and decks.

A. An average of two (2) to Three (3)
feet.
Q. Is municipal water ok to fill my pond?

A. All municipal water contain choline or chloramine; both of which are toxic to fish.
Q. Do I need to aerate my pond?

A. Yes, fish, snails, and tadpoles all need oxygen to survive underwater.
Q. How often should I clean my filter?

A. Clean your pond filter at
least once a month.
Q. How many fish can I keep in my
pond?

A. The volume of water in your pond determines how many fish it
can hold.
Q. What kind of food should I feed my fish?

A. Fish need proper nutrition and water quality.
Q.When can I add fish to my new pond?

A. After the water has been treated
to eliminate the chemicals from municipal water add only a few fish every few
weeks.
Q. How can I keep my fish healthy?

A. Fish health is directly related to water quality and proper nutrition. Keep the pH
between 6.8 and 8.0
Q. Can I put plants in the pond with
the fish?

A. Yes, Plants provide protection and spawning areas for your fish.
Q. How many plants should be in my pond?

A. A good rule is to cover about one half of your pond surface with plants.
Q. How does Ammonia get into my pond?

A. Pond fish continuously release
ammonia into the water from their gills, urine and solid waste.
Q. How do I keep my pond clear?

A. Fight the algae with Crystal Lagoon.
Algae is your number one enemy.
Q. Will my pond foster a lot of mosquitoes?
A. No. Mosquitoes generally only lay their eggs in
still, stagnant water. Fish consider mosquitoes their ice cream and will eat
them with joy.
Q. Will having a pond decrease the value
of my home?

A. No. Swimming pools will, but not ponds, they add value.
